Dr. Maureen Alexander, DACM is a licensed acupuncturist practicing for over 12 years and the founder of Lotus Theory Acupuncture in Ithaca, NY. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in performing arts from Point Park University, Maureen continued her education at Finger lakes School of Massage in upstate New York and was a licensed massage therapist for 12 years. In 2012, she collected her master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Emperors College in Santa Monica, Ca. In 2022 she completed her Doctorate through Pacific College of Health and Science. She also holds certifications in Aroma Acupoint Therapy, Sound Healing Therapy and Mindfulness Meditation. She places an extreme emphasis on patient centered care, specializing in pain management and individualized treatments for each of her patients.
